738 checked in for ‘Locals Eat Local’

The final numbers are in.

Your Chamber’s “Locals Eat Local” summertime promotion, intended to drive diners to restaurants during the hot months, logged 738 total check-ins, according to Crystal Franke, destination marketing manager for the town of Oro Valley.

Each check-in represents a restaurant purchase of not less than $20. The campaign’s total represents a minimum guaranteed spend of $14,760, and a likely dinner ticket above that amount.

Guests who visited 5 restaurants and spent $20 at each earned a special prize from your Chamber – an Arizona cutting board, or an Oro Valley hat and cloth shopping bag.

Nutrition, Rosati’s Pizza, Peachwave Frozen Yogurt, Fork & Fire Smokehouse, Savaya Coffee, OV Pizza & Pints, Just Kabab, Breadsmith, Noble Hops, Nautical Bowls, Panera Bread, DiBella’s Brunch & Booze, Oranju, Wow Wow Lemonade, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Handel’s Ice Cream, Tucson Tamale Company, and Tohono Chul Garden Bistro.

In honor of The Town of Oro Valley turning 50 in 2024 the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce featured 50 local community businesses by placing raffle entries and drawings for prizes. The Chamber featured two-three businesses every two weeks with Grand prizes and specialty drawings at each location.
