Your Business Helps Preserve Oro Valley

The Town of Oro Valley and the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce have partnered together to make participation simple, visible, and fully supported.

There are no special promotions to manage, no pricing changes, and no complicated systems to learn.

Participation simply means allowing the campaign message to live in your space, so residents can see how their everyday activity strengthens our community.

Why Participation Matters

When residents choose to live local, their activity supports each individual business as well as our town.

That keeps centers active, supports shared spaces, and strengthens the town we all love – which in turn supports the businesses that serve them (you!)

As participation grows:

  • Businesses benefit from increased local awareness
  • Centers feel more active and welcoming
  • Community improvements become visible
  • Residents feel invested in where they spend time

Our goal is to increase foot traffic and sales in every Oro Valley business.

Still Have Questions?

Check Out Our FAQs Below

Will this add work for my staff?

Participation is designed to be as turnkey as possible. Our team will provide campaign signage, messaging, and promotional materials so your team can easily participate without having to create anything from scratch.

We may also invite participating businesses to help amplify the campaign on social media by sharing campaign content, engaging with posts, or joining select collaborative posts. The more we work together to spread the word, the more visibility we can create for participating businesses and the campaign as a whole.

Do I need to offer discounts or run promotions?

No. This is not a coupon or loyalty program because we know those only help in the short term. Our goal is to encourage residents to make small changes over time that benefit our entire community. We want to normalize participation, not change how you price or operate your business.

How does participation benefit my business?

When residents choose to live local, activity stays inside Oro Valley – and that creates momentum that individual businesses will feel. Participation supports a healthier ecosystem for everyone where:

  • Centers feel more active and welcoming
  • Customers are reminded to spend locally
  • Community pride encourages repeat engagement
  • Businesses benefit from shared visibility
  • The town continues investing in the spaces residents enjoy

You’re not being asked to market harder or change how you operate. Instead, you’re part of a town-wide effort that strengthens the environment your business depends on.

Is customer spending tracked or shared with businesses?

No individual customer purchase data is shared. The system measures collective participation, not personal spending behavior. Our goal is to be transparent in community impact, not monitoring customers.

Is this competing with individual business marketing?

Not at all. This initiative strengthens the environment in which all businesses operate. It complements – not replaces – your own marketing efforts.
