A Golden Christmas in Oro Valley
Who needs a white Christmas when you can have a golden one?
December in Oro Valley means crisp morning, mountain views, glowing sunsets, and near perfect weather. Our Christmas is rarely white, but it’s always magical.
This holiday season, we’re painting Oro Valley gold and giving you even more reasons to get out and enjoy it. From a Golden Ornament Hunt created in partnership with local student artists to holiday shopping, dining, events, and experiences happening throughout our community, we’re making it easy and fun to spend more of the season right here in Oro Valley.
And while you’re out, we want to challenge you to rediscover the beauty that’s right in your own backyard. Try the restaurant you’ve been meaning to visit, spend an afternoon Christmas shopping, grab a drink on the patio, take the family somewhere new, and discover a few places you didn’t know were here.
Golden Ornament Hunt
This year, we’re turning holiday shopping and dining into a golden treasure hunt. In partnership with Canyon del Oro students (wood shop, and graphic design), we’ve created a collection of custom golden ornaments made especially for Oro Valley.
Throughout the holiday season, 15 participating Oro Valley businesses will each have their ornament waiting to be discovered. Your mission is to explore our town, visit participating businesses, and see how many you can find.
In addition to striking gold, you may just discover your new favorite shop, pick up a few unique gifts, grab a cup of coffee, or finally stop in that restaurant you’ve been meaning to try. But don’t wait! Each location has a limited number of ornaments and this hunt is first come, first served.
